Region 1 - Easwaramma Day

Sai devotees from Region 1 congregated for the annual Easwaramma Day celebrations on Monday 7th May 2012. The day commenced with a march involving the SSE children of Region 1 followed by Vedam, multi-faith prayers and devotional singing. The day comprised various items led by SSE students, such as readings of Sai Discourses by the children of Tooting, songs from the Beatles which were reconstructed by SSE children of Bromley and didactic plays by the children of Brixton, Wimbledon, Merton, Lewisham and Kingston. Every item that was offered by the SSE children was based on the five human values. There were different messages to be learnt from each play.

During the programme, anecdoteswere narrated about Mother Easwaramma with a message of how we as children should serve our parents, our fellow brothers, sisters and elders.

A wonderful talk was given by Brother Anand Venkatraman, who shared his divine experiences with Bhagawan during his days as a student at the Sri Sathya Sai University.

The programme concluded with devotional songs and Mangala Aarati. The SSE children were also presented with mementoes.

Colourful posters produced by the SSE children were also exhibited. It was wonderful to see the unity amongst the Sai devotees and the contentment on their faces.
