Region 4 - Sai Cinema on a Sunday Afternoon in Leicester

On Sunday 19th January twenty seven devotees attended the East West Community Centre to spend a few hours at the ‘Sai Cinema’ watching two DVD’s (from the series: Shirdi Sai – Parthi Sai Divya Katha featuring ardent Baba devotee: Anjali Devi) detailing the life and times of Shirdi Sai Baba’s and his devotees as played by various actors and actresses. The devotees were moved by the actors and actresses who played the roles of Shirdi Sai Baba and his devotees so well, and were further more spoilt by the appearance of both drinks and pop corn (both chilli and unsalted) in the two intervals.

The DVD’s certainly brought home the love that Shirdi Sai had for his devotees and vice versa and also the trials and tribulations that Shirdi Sai had to endure. Also the love for God that Shirdi Sai Baba’s parents had, such that they left Shirdi Sai Baba (as a baby) alone in the forest. The message that this devotee gained from the afternoon was that God is always around us, and that all else is but an illusion. So fix your mind on God always, above all else. The next Sai Cinema session (continuing the series: Shirdi Sai – Parthi Sai Divya Katha) will be in about two months time and will show the life and times of the second avatar: Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi.
