Region 6 - Family Values Day at Blunden Hall

On Sunday, 13th July 2014, the SSE wing of Region 6 held their annual Family Values Day at Blunden Hall in Farnborough. Around 85 people attended the event which consisted of SSE children from Farnborough, Rochester and Southampton, their parents, friends, SSE teachers and helpers.

Swami blessed us with warm and sunny weather as heavy rains were otherwise expected!

The day began with a Values-based treasure hunt, followed by sack races, three-legged races, egg-and -spoon races. Both adults and children wholeheartedly participated in the events which added to the team spirit and enjoyment. There were also lively games of cricket and football. The final sporting event was “the tug-of -peace” event, in which everyone participated amidst much fun, laughter, enthusiasm and cheering!

The day ended with a short sketch performed by the SSE children from Rochester, and a song by the SSE children of Farnborough and Southampton.

All the children then received certificates of attendance for SSE classes, and small tokens of appreciation for their whole-hearted participation in the Family Values Day 2014.

All-in-all, the day was a great success, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the next event! A big thank you to everyone who helped make this day a big success and created wonderful learning and memorable experiences for everyone across Region 6.
