Our Welsh Weekend with Our Beloved Sai

Who knew that one weekend could be so blissful and thought-provoking? The weariness that everyone experienced after the stressful 7-hour car journey disappeared instantly as soon as we first walked into the main hall in venue Cymru to see the mesmerising stage background of the beautiful abode of peace, the Sai Kulwanth Hall in Prashanthi Nilayam replicated in LLandudno. The heavenly bhajans which took place in front of the grand backdrop marked the commencement of the retreat. The glorious bhajans brought back a lot of memories of our past trips to Puttaparthi. The first bhajan session helped us youngsters to compose ourselves before our musical offering which concluded the day's events.

The next day began with Suprabatham and bhajans which was very peaceful and cleansing to both the mind and soul, followed by yoga which proved to be wonderful in loosening us up after the previous day and this was the perfect start on both Saturday and Sunday. For us SSE kids a fun and exciting schedule was excellently planned integrating the incredible location with enjoyable activities. For example, we visited a local tram station, going on a long ride while enjoying the view of the rolling hills as well as a trip to Bodofon Farm which all the SSE used to practice the songs for the programme in the evening with some of their favourite farm animals! The practice and performance of the well-known songs 'Amazing Grace' and 'This little light of mine' by the SSE children was very fun and enjoyable, not to mention the activity packs, games and beach visit that we also managed to do!

Although the retreat in Llandudno was short, the memories feel long-lasting. The incredible talks and the varied programmes have completely changed our perspective on the life we are leading. There was so much on offer for everyone during the weekend. It has, all in all been a great experience for us; we hope to go again next year!
