National Easwaramma Day 2014

National Event

Dear Children, Parents, Brothers & Sisters
Om Sri Sai Ram!

It is with great pleasure that I am writing to invite you to the National Easwaramma Day Celebrations which will be held on Saturday 3rd May 2014. This is an opportunity for our children, their parents and families, teachers and fellow pilgrims to come together from across the United Kingdom to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Divine Mother and Father Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and to 'Walk with Sai and be One'.

Swami has dedicated Easwaramma Day as Children's Day the world over in the context of the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisation. It is a day when we express our heartfelt gratitude to our Mother and Father who as Bhagavan says are to be honoured as our first Gurus or teachers. It is also a day to express our gratitude to our all our care givers who are within our family, our friends, our school, our Sai Centre, our SSE teachers and the community we live in.

Bhagavan has emphasised the need to foster and practice the five inherent human values of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Non-Violence to so as to enable character development and spiritual transformation. This eternal truth serves as one of the important aims of the Sai Spiritual Education programme. This year's National Easwaramma Day will be dedicated as a walk with Sai by honouring the five human values, the practice of which leads us to be one with Sai.

The programme on the day will include children's procession, prayers, group devotional songs, pledge of gratitude, inspirational talks, interactive sessions for children, children's offerings, exhibition by the SSE Alumni and Sai Youth to name but a few.

We are indeed very fortunate to have amidst us our special guest speaker Professor M Nanjundaiah, formerly The Controller of Examinations, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthi Nilayam. He has consented to share with us his experiences with Bhagavan and lessons learnt at the Divine Lotus Feet.

Let us come together to offer our Love and Gratitude to our Loving Mother Sai on this sacred occasion.
