Sai Smaran Bhajans

National Event

Om Sri Sai Ram!

On behalf of the United Kingdom Central Council, we would like to invite you and your family members to our 2nd Sai Smaran Bhajans for the year. This will be a National offering of our gratitude in the form of Bhajans (devotional singing) to our Beloved Bhagawan.

This event also coincides with the 4th and final Sadhana Meeting for participants of 'Sai Jyothi', our National Pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, who are eagerly looking forward to travelling and paying their gratitude to Bhagawan for having given the rare boon of birth of a human being in this life time and the intelligence to appreciate His Divine Glory and Majesty.

The day will be spent in singing, in listening, in remembering and contemplating upon Him so that we are deserved of His Love and Blessings.

Let us all join together and offer a garland of our Love and Gratitude on this day.

The Scriptures lay down Bhajan (group devotional singing), Naamasmaran (Remembering God's Name) and Sankeerthan (devotional music) as the Saadhanas (spiritual practices) of this Age. Bhajan is the process of singing your prayers to God, praising His glory and compassion, and pleading that He may fill you with His Grace.
Sri Sathya Sai Speaks Vol 11, 37

Realize that there is nothing greater than bhajans. What bliss is there in bhajans? What a demonstration of oneness is it when a myriad throats join in uttering the name of God? The vibrations emanating from them make the heart vibrant. If you sing alone in your shrine, the vibrations return to you as reaction. But in community singing, what you have is not a reaction but a wave of vibrations. They enter into the atmosphere and purify the polluted air. The atmosphere today is polluted by bad thoughts and feelings. When you sing the glory of God, the bad germs in the air are destroyed and the air gets purified by a treatment with antibiotics as it were. Bhajans are therefore supremely valuable.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Divine Discourse, October 23 1994

We thank our youth for leading this initiative and look forward to welcoming you on the day.

Lovingly,
