National Teachers Symosium 2017

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the SSE Wing, SSIOUK, invites you to the National SSE Teachers Symposium. The theme for this symposium is "Good teachers + Good Students = Good Nation".

This will be held on Saturday 9th September 2017 between 10:30am and 16:30pm at the Harefield Academy, Northwood Way, Harefield,Uxbridge, Middlesex.UB9 6ET.

Swami advises,

The teachers should be good guides, and the students should be ideal recipients of such good ideas. Teachers should play the role of an alarm time pieces. The students, who are lost in the sleep of ignorance, should be woken up by these Gurus through the teaching of Prajnana (spiritual wisdom); they should be exhorted to, 'awaken, arise and strive towards the goal.'(Bal Vikas Conference Divine discourse - 22 Nov 1975)

The symposium will be an opportunity for SSE teachers, assistants, co-ordinators to come together and share best practices, innovate new and engaging teaching techniques and review how SSE in the UK has benefited our children. It will be an opportunity for us to jointly plan for the coming years to help our SSE children become the good and great citizens of our nation.

Some of the key goals for this symposium are:

To come together as one to offer our gratitude and seek inspiration and guidance from our only source, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
To identify strengths and resolve any challenges in the SSE programme in the UK.
To use innovation for expansion and development of SSE in the U.K.

Bhagavan Baba reminds us in His own words;

"We should carefully examine everything that each one of us does. The Gurus who have Sathvik feelings can inspire such noble feelings in the students who learn under them. If we therefore want sacred ideas to be promoted in the students, first thing to do is to develop sacred thoughts in the minds of the teacher". (Divine Discourse to Bal Vikas Gurus at Poorna Chandra Auditorium - 20 Nov 1979) We humbly request a minimum of five SSE representatives from each centre/group spanning the different SSE age groups to register for this programme.
