Region 2 - Slough Sai Centre Christmas Celebrations

Slough Sai Centre celebrated Christmas as merrily as always. Swami’s alter was decorated beautifully in White.

After the initial prayers, the programme started with Bhajans filling the hall with the divine vibrations. Continuing this were the Carols. Carol singing is the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas. Our SSE children sang few carols Little donkey, Away in the manger, Silent night then the holy carol..

"O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How lovely are your branches
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
How lovely are your branches"

This carol further beautified our Christmas tree.

This year our esteemed guest speaker Brother Selva Kumar gave a wonderful Christmas message. This message he gave was really very meaningful. As soon as Christ was born he saw the beautiful birds and animals surrounding him. He saw Turkey, Sheep and other farm animals. They too rejoiced the birth of Jesus. They welcomed him. They were so auspicious for the birth of Jesus. Instead of caring those birds and animals man today is killing and enjoying them on dinner plates on the day of Christmas which should really to be considered.

After the speech our SSE children Kajhol and Prajwal played lovely carols on guitar and keyboard.

One of our youngest SSE child Madhav [age5] explained the importance of WATCH.

W - Words.
A - Actions.
T – Thoughts.
C – Character
H - Heart

Younger SSE kids narrated the holy Christmas story in short.

We then had a lovely play by older children titled “A Christmas Crisis”. It all begins on a snowy and frosty Christmas Eve When a bus starts off for an overnight journey. Different passengers with different mindsets take the bus and start the journey with moody and disturbed situations. The bus stops all of a sudden. Worried passengers then opens up talks to each other… one Passenger tell the importance of Christmas- “God sent his son Jesus to earth to take away all the pains from them and gifted them with the true life. Remembering his sacrifice we now celebrate Christmas and give away gifts to each other.” Strangers now became good friends and together got the divine message of Christmas.

Finally Santa [brother Niraj Sharma & Mr Partha Commander] arrived from the North Pole on time. Children and the adults gave him a warm welcome with jingle bells song.

Children got gifts and sweets from Santa. Santa was so happy with the children that he paused for a group photo.

Our Celebrations then came to an end with the traditional song “WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR”.

We the Sai devotees from Slough Centre wish you all a very Holy, Happy and Healthy New Year.
