Easter Collection for Macclesfield Hospital Children's Ward

On a bright Good Friday morning, a collection of story books, puzzle books, sticker books, colouring books, pencils, craft kits, lego, and of course chocolates, were delivered to Macclesfield Hospital's 21 bed children's ward. This year when we contacted the ward, they asked for bubbles which they use to distract the children while taking bloods and other tests, so we collected those as well. When we dropped off the goodies, the nursing team mentioned they are also useful for siblings visiting family in the ward. One of the nursing team who is a community nurse, will be able to distribute some items to children with ongoing health issues that she visits at home. Items this year were donated mainly by colleagues at work and in amongst the items was a card expressing thanks to the nursing team for taking care of their son who'd recently been treated for meningitis. The nursing team saw the card and remembered the family well... how Swami works. Hopefully the items will bring many smiles this Easter!

Easter Collection for under privileged children at Bradford

As part of one of the 2015 service projects at the Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Lidget Green, we joined hands with a local organisation called “Junior Chamber of Commerce” to collect Easter eggs for the underprivileged children of Bradford.

Members of the centre, family and friends all supported this project to contribute in bringing a smile to less fortunate children. The youth of the centre took an active role in helping to coordinate the collection.

With the grace of our Beloved Mother Sai we were able to collect 123 Easter eggs, this was a fantastic effort by all given that we collected over 60 eggs in just the last couple of days.

Thank You Swami
